We all struggle in various ways and have the inner sense of knowing that we would like to feel better.

We are Here to Help.

We offer a multi-modal approach to our services including:

Counselling & Neurofeedback

At Psychology Calgary, we help you reach a place of greater peace, calm, enhanced functioning, and an overall relief from the symptoms that may be plaguing you.

The first approach we use to help you reach this desired state is by doing individual counselling.  Through an evidence-based approach to psychotherapy, we can help you realize the balance and well-being that you or a loved one may be seeking.  Our background in Health psychology provides us with a unique mind-body perspective which acknowledges the way our physical and emotional health interact to influence our current levels of functioning.

We are here to help with concerns related to anxiety, depression, stress management, ADHD, weight management, disordered eating patterns, IBS and IBD, and relationship difficulties.  My hope is that every client with whom I meet will feel comfortable, at ease, well-understood, and hopeful in the therapeutic process.

The second approach that we use as a complement, or stand alone treatment is neurofeedback.  Neurofeedback is a unique approach with a wide spectrum of applications.  It is a particular type of biofeedback which monitors brain wave activity and provides the user with real time feedback regarding their brain activity.

Once the individual becomes aware of their own mental activity, they are able to adjust and self-regulate to achieve a more calm, focused mental state. Neurofeedback is implicated in the support of a variety of conditions, including: anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anger management, PTSD, post-concussion syndrome, addiction related behaviors (food included), "chemo brain," and insomnia. Beyond addressing specific concerns, neurofeedback is used as a tool to reach your own peak performance.  By training our mind to naturally restore itself
to a calm, focused state of being, individuals experience a "lift of brain fog," greater sleep, an increased ability to focus, greater impulse control, and an improved overall sense of well-being.

Whether you are looking to work one-on-one with a Psychologist in a counselling setting, or interested in utilizing neurofeedback and counselling together, our hope is that we can work together to help you reach the potential that we all possess deep inside.

Welcome.  We look forward to working with you.
